From Rhialto:
- Normalized firing speeds. There are three categories: slow, medium, fast.
- Giants, raks, and shifted nagas are slow (ranges from 1 to 3 shots/second.)
- Wood Elves are fast (ranges from 2.5 to 7 shots/second.) Note: Pixies are now medium.
- Everyone else is medium (ranges from 1 to 5 shots/second.)
- Same general curve as attack speeds — aims for maxing out at range skill 40 (including guild and magical bonuses, e.g. rings of the perfect archer), which most people will achieve around level 25.
- Note: if you are firing manually (by tapping), then you are always capped by your maximum speed for your race. This computation mostly affects autofire speeds, for wood elves and Archers Guild members.
- Enlightenment now shows your current firing speed if you have a range weapon readied.
- If you have autofire, it shows your autofire speed (and racial maximum).
- Otherwise shows your maximum manual firing speed.
- Appraising range weapons at +8 blacksmithing now shows their missile damage bonuses, if any. A regular bow will show no special bonuses.
- Did a modest Archers Guild expansion.
- Fixed the unhittable monster-in-trap bug.
- Made regular arrows and bolts 10x cheaper (20gp and 30gp respectively)
- But increased their loss rate to 2%, to compensate.
- Slaying arrows loss rate is now 1%.
